My river

My tears are like a river; I have to let them flow
As I live each day with memories that I never can let go.

I need a loving shoulder to lay my head upon
Strong arms to enfold me as I try to struggle on.

Someone to talk to who will help me understand
Until I can go forward and clasp my loved one's hand.
