At the end of the holiday season, some operators have the task of finding temporary winter accommodation for their donkeys and the Sanctuary is always happy to provide advice, training and support on donkey welfare to fosterers.

The Donkey Sanctuary is in no way opposed to donkeys working on the beaches of the UK providing that they are fit, healthy and licensed to work. We are here to provide high quality professional advice, training and support on donkey care and welfare and to provide permanent sanctuary to any donkey in need of refuge.
