Brookfield farm is a very happy place at the moment because we have three new foals with two more on the way.

It's not only lambing time... our three pregnant mares that came into the Sanctuary already in foal are well on their way to having their foals and there's great excitement among the staff here at Brookfield Farm.

Well, December is here and the weather has become more seasonal. The poor donks didn't know what to do with themselves, one day was beautiful warm sunshine then the next day would be cold wet and windy. We also had a lot of fog around, so the donks tend to stay in their barns and doze or maybe groom each other.

We are one of seven farms in Devon and Dorset that form part of the Sanctuary and we would like to share with you stories of our resident donkeys as well as our two foals, Ben and Morrishee. We also have two mares that are currently in foal and we invite you to follow their progress through our blogs.
