My trip to Mexico is over and I'm back home in Sidmouth. I shed a tear on the plane as I definitely wanted to stay - to meet more of the donkeys, more of the people, to find out more from the teams and to learn more about the Mexican culture.

The children in Xochimilco village
Today was the best day ever and I am really pleased with my photos. I was back with Omar today (who I must say has been so patient with me as I've been asking so many questions)!
Pequeño is part of the family
I was picked up this morning by Carlos (vet), Nardia (Carlos' wife who spoke really good English), Carmen (volunteer who is studying to be a vet at the university) and Sally who is our Children's Education Officer and who I have discovered has a wonderful job of putting together educational programmes.
Tacita now a beautiful donkey
I'm feeling quite tired today - it was a long drive to meet a donkey called Tacita and I think we got a little lost too. I didn't mind though as I didn’t want to miss a thing - from the people cooking food at the side of the road, to the crazy traffic. Of course I was always looking out for any donkeys that were roaming outside their owner's houses or being used to carry goods.
Life saving treatment for Sin nombre
I was picked up at 7.30 am by Alfredo and his team who drove me up the mountains where the scenery was beautiful and the journey was far more pleasant than yesterday!
Coacalco rubbish dump
I'm not really sure how to explain my day today.....
I was picked up by Omar (vet), Lupita (vet assistant), Pablo (Farrier) who made up one of the mobile teams and Alfredo (vet), Mauro (vet assistant) Marcos (Farrier) and Erika who made up the second team - we have three in total.
