Marie Lee recently celebrated her 40th birthday with a party and asked friends and family for donations in lieu of gifts to help raise funds for the Sanctuary. Before the guests left, they all shared a slice of Marie's birthday cake which had been beautifully decorated with a picture of her very much loved donkeys - Blister and Joss-George.

A call to the vet
You will probably be envious reading my blog today, but with glorious sunshine, there's only one thing to do ... go and take photos of donkeys of our resident donkeys!
I take my hat off to you
You'll never guess what happened to me at work today? was what I said to my partner, Dave, when getting home! There I was sat in my office working away when I decided to go and spoil myself and have lunch in the Hayloft Restaurant.
All about donkeys and their love of you
It hardly seems like a year has past before all the donkey weekers are meeting again and almost picking up conversations they were having with each other this time last year.
Fred has left a big hole in many hearts
Sometimes even our staff get very upset when a donkey has to be put to sleep and it turned out to be a very difficult day for Alan Brown and his team over at Trow Farm when the decision was made to put Fred Snook, a very popular donkey, to sleep.
Devon sunshine and donkey walking
Just the weather for walking donkeys! Today I was out taking photos of the 10 people who had come along to the Sanctuary on one of our Donkey carer days. It was lovely to meet such lovely people from all walks of life. While I was taking photos, I found out that some of them had been visiting the Sanctuary regularly for over 15 years, even though they lived great distances.
