Rupert goes from being broken, to being the boss

Rupert herding Border Collies

After just two weeks in our care, one-year-old Rupert has gone from being so weak that he couldn’t stand, to apparently taking up a new hobby of herding Border Collies (dogs more commonly associated with herding sheep) around his veterinary paddock.

One-year-old Rupert was in such a critical condition when he came into our care at the end of last month, that vets had to battle to save his life. A fortnight later, and the specialist veterinary treatment that he has been receiving seems to be working wonders, and he is now developing the cheeky character that we would normally expect young colts to display.

I just had to share this lovely video with you, kindly sent over by Westmorland Veterinary Practice who are caring for Rupert until he is fit enough to travel to one of the Sanctuary’s farms. It looks like Rupert is keen to show the nurse’s collies at the veterinary practice that he is now the boss!
