Adopting a donkey is a wonderful way to support the work of our sister charity, the Elisabeth Svendsen Trust for Children and Donkeys (EST) which has five Centres based around the UK (Sidmouth, Leeds, Ivybridge, Manchester and Birmingham) each of which provides riding to children with special needs and disabilities as well as taking the donkeys into residential homes, hospices and schools. All the donkeys that work for the EST are owned by The Donkey Sanctuary.

How much is it to adopt an EST donkey and what will I receive?

A year’s adoption of your chosen donkey either for yourself or as a gift, will cost £16. For this you will receive a folder containing a Certificate of Adoption, details of your adopted donkey with colour picture, and a lovely A4 pencil drawing. After six months you will then be sent a letter updating you on what your donkey has been doing.
