As donkeys get older, some of them, just like Tarnia in this video, needs a little extra feed.
This short video was produced by Jenifer Tucker at The Donkey Sanctuary.
Tarnia was born in 1968 and came into the Sanctuary in 1992. From the video, you will see that she is wearing two collars. Yellow collars are worn by our female donkeys and the blue collar indicates that Tarnia is receiving two extra daily feeds. A variety of donkeys need more than just grass and hay. For example the elderly, those without many teeth, poorly, thin, and young donkeys all require special feeds.
The music accompanying the video is called You Ten Sharp performed by Dejan and published under the Creative Commons Licence.
Sadly, since this video was taken, Tarnia passed away in October 2008.
