The purpose of the Fostering Scheme is to identify homes in a caring and knowledgeable environment where our donkeys will enjoy an enhanced quality of life in pleasant surroundings. Additionally, these arrangements also allow us greater flexibility to provide hands-on care and attention to those donkeys which require direct supervision and treatment within our own farms.

Please complete the application form below which will be passed to your local Welfare Officer, who will make an appointment to visit you and discuss this in more detail. If the initial application appears suitable, you will then be invited to take part in a "Donkey Care Induction Day" which will familiarise you with The Donkey Sanctuary’s guide to basic donkey care.
