Anna Harrison tells us about her stay with the donkeys at El Refugio del Burrito in Spain.

This photo is of Panchito and Trevosky, the last one being named after a member of staff at El Refugio!

Panchito (right) came from Calatayud in North East Spain. He is 23 years old and has an injury on his front right leg.

Trevosky (left) came from Zamora in North Western Spain. He is 30 years old, already going on 31!

They were some of the very first donkeys to ever arrive at El Refugio del Burrito in 2004. They are very good friends and share what is called the "car park paddock". Both of them were working donkeys that were relinquished since their owners could no longer use them for work.
