A poem about the Sanctuary

Hi The Donkey Sanctuary,

My name is Meg and I'm 11 years old.

I live in Australia. I love both donkeys and horses and I'm in love with Eeyore from Winnie The Pooh.

I wrote a poem about your sanctuary, but I made it sound like Eeyore was telling it.

I know that I don’t smile often,
I never call out or bray,
I do it because I know what’s happened,
To my friends and family today.

Some of them in Eygpt, others away in Greece.
Some live the life of luxury,
Others thin and weak.
I know a place they will call heaven
It’s called the Donkey Sanctuary.

It is a wonderful place where roses grow,
And you get feed every day,
There is no sign of poverty,
Just love and heaps of hay.

To help the sanctuary live up to its peak,
They need more donations to battle thin and weak.

The sanctuary will love and care
Any donkey that is out there.

Please donate to the Donkey Sanctuary today.

Thanks,
Love Meg xxx
