It's the first day of Donkey Week and I'm so excited. I'm normally the first donkey out on the Main Yard, but today I have to wait my turn to meet all the donkey weekers because me and my best friend, Lady, are having our feet trimmed.

Poor Lady had quite a bit of seedy toe cut out last time, but I overheard Colin say to our groom, Emma, that he's pleased with her hooves and looks like she's walking quite well.

It was my turn to begin with, but as I'm a nosy donkey, I'm always wandering off looking for things to do and Emma had to keep catching me. With one hoof trimmed, I trotted off into the distance while Lady stood patiently waiting her turn. Emma didn't mind of course because she knew I would be back... eventually!

With our hooves all trimmed and wearing our new plastic shoes, we made our way out into the field where I couldn't wait to paw at the ground and have a really good roll in the dirt!
