Home again after Donkey Week 2009, one consolation is that there are only 51 weeks to wait before DW 2010. Thanks to all concerned for a lovely week, as usual. Very special thanks to the Staff on all the farms, who are always so welcoming and helpful despite the disruption we must cause to their usual routine and the extra work entailed in our visits.
On behalf of several of my Donkey Week friends (and myself) a REALLY BIG 'thank you' to Bill Tetlow. No doubt he asked not to be mentioned in the list of people specially thanked at the end of the week. However, I am sure everyone would have liked to show their appreciation of his ubiquitous efforts! This and past years, there he was with his camera, not only during the day at the farms but also the evening events; also organising and participating in the Singalong/Music Hall for so many years.
The Donkey Weekers' Forum is an excellent idea - let's hope it will be well-used to keep as many of us as possible in touch throughout the year, provide ideas for the future and revive the old 'DW family spirit' that built up over the years.
