A Bud of a Donkey

What new life comes to us this day
Complete with long ears and a bray!
You already have a cherrie smile
And coquettish ways to capture hearts
First, fine Donkey rapture from the start.
As you find your legs and browse
Your field of clover beside your mum,
The blossoms and dewdrops tickling your nose
With honesty and joy, we'll watch in wonder
Your first steps as the warm breezes blow.
We'll watch you grow wise
Like all Donkeys do
As we grow old, so then will you.
We'll grow together true and white
You'll grow wiser, we'll grow closer
To angel light.
But for today, you'll live in Spring's array
And we'll walk together, in safe Sanctuary.
With all delight in dancing Donkey steps
We'll sing a greeting as you do your best,
Recapturing this day among
All those who wish you a good life long.

Jenny what a beautiful poem. Says it all really.
