On a beautifully hot sunny day, children from Stawley Primary School on the Somerset/Devon border came along to the Sanctuary for a day out with the donkeys. Joining them today were Shirgar, Holly, Bob Mac and Connor - four donkeys from our Education and Activities team, together with their grooms.
The children were all treated to a morning of donkey grooming as well as walking the donkeys around the Sanctuary. As they all headed off along one of the walkways, Bob Mac gave a bray of delight as he walked passed Apollo and Miles in their paddock. It almost felt as if he was saying "Look at me having lots of fun out with the children"!

Before spending an educational afternoon in our Nature Centre and then getting lost in the maze, the children enjoyed a picnic lunch while they happily chatted away to each other with their donkey stories.
