At last it's time for me to go and get my hair cut. I booked my appointment early so that I'll look my best at the Donkey Summer Fair in a couple of weeks. Do look out for me because Colin has chosen me to be his model for the farrier display!

At 10.30 sharp, I met Emma on the Main Yard and was led into one of the stables. I do like a good haircut - a chance to shed all the long hair and more important, a chance to be pampered. Like some of the other long ears here at the Sanctuary, my hair tends to grow quite long, so we get clipped out once a year which helps to keep us cool in the summer months.

Also waiting his turn was George, so we shared a bucket of feed between us while Emma got herself ready.

Two hours later I strolled out of the salon stable all clipped out. And isn't it just typical when you have a hair cut, it was raining outside! Not to worry, Emma went and found me a donkey jacket to wear.
