Memories of Ireland

We were very touched to receive these thoughts from Christina Coakley evoking beautiful images of Ireland. Her husband, Patrick, originally came from Co. Cork and returned to his native Ireland later in life. Sadly he passed away after only two years in his homeland. His widow, Christina, tells us:

"His graveyard is only a few minutes away from my home and there are donkeys in the fields next to it and numerous donkeys in the area. I can't walk far without meeting a field of them and sometimes I hear them braying when I open the back door. I'm sure Patrick knows he has them for neighbours. We often took carrots and apples up to feed them together and have very many happy memories which I cherish. Thank you so much for enabling me to keep his memory alive in this way and I have told all his family about the Fund.
