Rescued donkeys are shining bright

Laurel and Hardy are full of character now they have their strength back!

I visited Laurel, Hardy and Tim last week. Touched by their plight, I have been keeping a watchful eye on them ever since they were rescued in July 2009 from a dark and grimy stable where they were all slowly starving to death.

To try and describe just how good they look now is almost unbelievable given the sorry state they were all in. Because even though it was a really drab day with drizzle (the soaking kind) and freezing fog, they were shining - quite literally! They have all put on weight, have fantastic glossy coats and just look amazing.

Joy is one of the grooms caring for Laurel, Hardy and Tim and, as always, was keen to share with me the news on their progress. I managed to take a small video of her giving Laurel an extra groom whilst giving us the latest information! I hope you enjoy it.

We hope that in the next month, the three animals will make their final journey down to Devon, and I will be sure to update you all on this, as and when it happens.

Ode to Joy! and thank you Dawn for the great update on the now Three Graces. "Tiny" Tim is very playful with his ball, and you can just feel how happy he is. Lovely, I can't wait to see and read more of their amazing journey.

Love across miles,
Jenny B.

Enjoy it? I loved it! It is so heart warming to see these lovely donkeys, munching away in their warm stables! What a joy!

Hi what wonderful video of the donkeys, Laurel seems to have a wonderful character, I think he may be suitable to be an adoption donkey one day

Well done everyone
