I now have found a way that I might keep all the sense of wonder and mystery this season. It is by enjoying a lovely book entitled, " Wake up, Dormouse, Santa Claus is Here" by Eleonore Schmid. You will be drawn into the woods where the animals await a visit from Santa. You will feel the windless fall of the snow, the smell of the woods and the community of soul of the animals. And then! who should be accompanying Santa on his visit of hope, but a Donkey bearing the gifts! No reindeer to be found. It was a beautiful Donkey with bells on his collar - like the beach Donkeys of summer! This is a beautiful book for all ages, with silent majesty and visual poetry you will find easy to live by. So snuggle up by the fire, read about this sweet Dormouse, and enjoy winter, for it has its own beauty for those who live with it. - and on earth peace and good will toward men, Jenny B.
