Voices of Comfort

I just wanted to thank the Sanctuary and all who attended the Candlelight service for allowing one who is very far away to view and hear this special event. It was such fun to watch everyone gathering, loving the Donkeys and taking pictures, and watching the intimacy of heartfelt care and love you all brought. My favorite part, of course, was the singing and hearing a very strong and melodic bray over the voices during "Hark the Herald Angels Sing"! I had to stop watching and go to work so I missed the full service, but what a treat it was that brought tears to my eyes. It brought to mind the words of Wordsworth:
"What know we of the Blest above
But that they sing, and that they love?"
Afterwards, when I returned home I checked again and all the Donks were snug in their barn and beds again. Ahh, thank you. A bit of heaven on earth, for there was indeed singing and much love.

May all be well with all of us as winter begins.

Just wanted to add my comments to those of Jenny B. What a marvellous thing - to be able to watch and listen to voices singing nearly four thousand miles away. As an elderly person, I can't get over the wonder of our technology! I so enjoyed the singing and became completely "undone" during the singing of "Little Donkey" - there is something about that carol that touches me very deeply.Thank you so much for providing the sound as well as the Webcam. Believe me, it was very much appreciated and enjoyed.

I am now looking forward to finding out if my donkey name will be one of the ones pulled out of the hat!

A very Merry Christmas to all your staff and to all my fellow webcam watchers all over the world!
