A donkey up close

Whether you are an experienced equine owner, have newly acquired donkeys or are thinking of purchasing one of our four-legged friends - this day of revelation, fun and learning for you! The workshop is organised by our Welfare Department and is completely free to attend.

Owning or caring for donkeys can be challenging at the best of times, but when their behaviour stops making any sense to us, or they behave in an inappropriate way, it can be problematic, confusing and above all frustrating! This workshop is designed to help unravel some of the confusion and myths that surround donkey behaviour.

This is an opportunity to learn more about how your donkey thinks and understand why donkeys do what they do. We will look at why your donkey gets spooked at things when you are out for a walk, or refuses to stand quietly for the farrier or vet.

The workshop will be held between 10.00 am - 4.00 pm at The Cabin Equestrian Centre, Ordyfauld, Keith Hall, Inverurie, Aberdeenshire on Tuesday 9th March 2010.
