The Donkey Sanctuary rescued Laurel and Hardy in July 2009 and since then, their recovery has been documented by the BBC One television programme Animal 24/7. We are pleased to announce that their story is to be broadcast on Wednesday 14th April at 9.15am.
You can read all about Laurel and Hardy at www.thedonkeysanctuary.org.uk/appeal and better still, you can now visit them here at our main Sanctuary in Sidmouth. They are currently living at the Hayloft Paddock and are thoroughly enjoying the attention of all the visitors.

So looking forward to seeing this although I know I will be in tears when I see their rescue. So glad they have settled in so well and are looking well now. Hope to see them when I do my donkey carer day in June. Thanks to everyone at the DS without whom this story would not have had a happy ending.
Saw the lads Laurel and Hardy (& Tim) on telly...and what a sad state they were in. "Another fine mess" in fact...till you fab guys and gals worked your magic and "Did something to help" them and got them well and happy again.
I hope to be able to continue to support the Sanctuary in the future with donations, as I love donkeys.
The dentist sequence was so funny and touching...to see how they look out for each other.
