Although Tuesday is the start of International Donkey Week, today (Wednesday) is really when the fun begins here at our main Sanctuary in Sidmouth!

Over 350 supporters arrived to the first event this morning – to see and hear the welcome speeches made by Dr Elisabeth Svendsen (Founder) and David Cook (Chief Executive) before totally and utterly immersing themselves in donkeys for the next six days!!

And I have really enjoyed catching up with the Donkey Weekers’ – they’ve travelled from far and wide to be here – it’s such a special week, in the company of such lovely, lovely people who all have total respect and love for the donkeys.
