What a beautiful sight and an inspiration. This poem is dedicated to Mo Flenley - Donkey Week 2010.

It's Good To Have Mo

Twenty-seven years
She's come for a cuddle
To brush an old friend
With soft kisses so subtle
How can I explain?
There's just something about Mo.
Her pathway through time
With the Donkeys of Devon,
Those new that she loves, her eyes
Still loving those she has lost.
She's like the ancient poetry of Gael
Swaths of beauty made simple
By this angel of equines
With heart soft born and gentle.
Like a sip of Chamomile
To the forty-four year old,
Setting both their souls free
With this brief thanksgiving.
She whispers to her favorites
Between blessed strokes of the brush
Sweet secrets - "how have you been?"
"I've missed you my dear, but
I will come again."
We'll get through another year sure
Devon's Donkeys will carry their hope
Just begin at the beginning
And proceed whichever way you can
Into Mo.
