Thank you Dawn Vincent for the incredible story of cruelty and redemption for the Donkeys in Spain. It surely is a place sown in tears. I thought the horrors and depths of pain had been reached when I wrote my poems, "The Donkey's Inferno" and "Hope is a Donkey". All the world should be thankful for El Refugio del Burrito, and The Donkey Sanctuary. Each day I turn from the troubles of the world and find that glimmer of precious hope with all of you. Thank you. What little I do or give of myself for Donkeys and Mules is very small indeed when I read a truth such as what goes on in Sanlucar de Barameda. It is all of you at the Sanctuary that prove your souls everyday. You are wherever the gentle heart finds courage.
