Cinnamon, one of 18 donkeys rescued from the Yorkshire area in November 2009, whose owner was prosecuted by the RSPCA for neglect, gave birth to a grey colt at 2.30 this morning. Mother and son are both well.
The Donkey Sanctuary has a no breeding policy.
What a beautiful little boy, and thanks to all the carers at the sanctuary - he will never have to know and feel the neglect his adorable mother had to endure.
I feel honoured to be able to share in this happiness and am trying to think of a name for him - so many spring to mind.
