On 16th September 2010 the Colyton Raleigh & District Ploughing Association, who Dr Elisabeth Svendsen is President of, is holding its annual Ploughing and Produce Show, this year here at Trow Farm.

Our West Country farms will be entering tractor drivers in the Ploughing Match and to show how it should be done we are training two donkeys to pull a plough as a demonstration.

Along with the ploughing match, there will also be a large number of produce categories ranging from vegetables to eggs to cakes to jams and chutneys to photographs to table arrangements and pot plants and others, with cash prizes for the winners!

We invite you to come along and watch the ploughing match which will take place throughout the day as it will be another three years before the event is held here again at the Donkey Sanctuary.
