Each year in December, The Donkey Sanctuary holds its annual Candlelight Evening from 5.00 pm (weather permitting).

Staff begin lighting the thousands of candles around the Sanctuary from 3.30 pm with the 45 minute Christmas carol service starting at 5.00 pm in the Main Barn opposite the Visitor's Centre.
