My name is Solomon Onyango and I am the head of development for veterinary services for donkeys and extension services in Kenya. My job is both challenging and fulfilling.

I joined the Donkey Sanctuary in January 2001 because of my interest in donkeys as a unique never cared for animal. There is both a lack of veterinary care and poor equipment used on donkeys in Kenya and the poor donkey is mistreated by its owners.

My dream is to improve the comfort of working donkeys in Kenya and make communities that depend on the donkeys realise the benefits of having a fit donkey as more profitable to them in the long run.

I am proud to be part of The Donkey Sanctuary as it endeavours to make a better life for working donkeys around the world.
