Thank you Carluke High School

Earlier this week I was speaking to Elma Cunningham, our welfare officer based in South Lanarkshire, about the amazing fundraising efforts of a group of students at a local school where she is also Principal Teacher of Business Studies.

Earlier this week I was speaking to Elma Cunningham, our welfare officer based in South Lanarkshire, about the amazing fundraising efforts of a group of students at a local school where she is also Principal Teacher of Business Studies.

Each year the Carluke High School has a dedicated 'charities time', where students carry out various fundraising activities, and the money they raise is then split between several nominated charities. This year the school very generously chose to donate £660 of the money raised to The Donkey Sanctuary.

The students involved had raised this fantastic amount through a variety of fundraising events including bag-packing, car-washing and a special two night 'charity show' - an incredible effort.

On behalf of all the two-leggeds and four-leggeds at The Donkey Sanctuary, a massive thank you to everyone involved.
