Sidmouth-based charity The Donkey Sanctuary is preparing to welcome more than 35 local traders and their wares at their Spring Craft Fair on Sunday 6th May 2012. The charity is inviting visitors to discover the array of handmade goods on offer between 10am – 4pm.
The tented craft fair is a fundraising event and a great opportunity to purchase gifts, including handmade jewellery, cheeses, scarves and handbags, driftwood inspired items, marble and crystal products, novelty cupcakes, restored furniture, homemade preserves and more. Refreshments will also be available.
Chris Phillips from the events team says: “Our Craft Fair is the perfect place to find a variety of unique handmade items and wonderful gifts in our large events marquee. Visitors will have the opportunity to celebrate the handy work of talented local residents and businesses in our marquee, which is also wheelchair and pushchair accessible. We hope that visitors will find something they love, knowing that they bought it directly from the person who made it.”
Whilst it is free to visit The Donkey Sanctuary all year round, entrance to the craft fair on 6th May will be £2.00 per adult, with free entry for children under the age of 12.
Any traders wishing to participate in this event or future craft fairs are asked to contact 01395 573156.
