Tuesdays are Donkey Dude days

Donkey Week 2010

Tuesdays are set to be extra-special for animal lovers who fancy mucking in and getting their hands dirty at The Donkey Sanctuary this summer.

Every Tuesday during the summer break (24th July – 28th August) between 11am – 3pm, the charity is hosting a Donkey Dudes event. This is the perfect opportunity for budding donkey grooms to spend some one-to-one time with a donkey from the charity’s events team. All those taking part will be introduced to the basics of donkey care and will leave with a certificate and badge marking their achievements.

Claire Shapcott, Events Supervisor for The Donkey Sanctuary, says:

“Donkey Dudes is a fun and light-hearted introduction to caring for donkeys – perfect for any young people considering a career with animals, future foster owners or just those who fancy spending some quality time with our lovely resident donkeys. Pop along at any point between 11am – 3pm any Tuesday during the summer holidays and enjoy a 15 minute meet and greet with our long-eared friends. We’ll even send you away with a certificate and badge to show all you have achieved.”
