In 2007, we established a subsidiary organisation in Cyprus called The Donkey Sanctuary Cyprus to enable us to take over Friends of the Cyprus Donkey, whose founders Mary and Patrick Skinner wished to retire.
We are working worldwide to help improve conditions for working donkeys and mules.
Spent a wonderful few hours here 3 years ago ... well worth a visit when in Cyprus.
I also visited Vouni this year, both in January 2008 and October 2008. 'Adpoted' Ben the donkey- am pleased to see his photo on cover of latest newsletter, which he had taken during my last visit. Think the place is well worth a visit- an abandoned donkey was being tended to during my visit- the care and patience of the staff is lovely to see. Will be visiting as often as I can as I have a holiday home in Mandria, Cyprus.
