On Monday 9th June 2008, Marisa gave birth to a beautiful little foal and the staff have named him Elvis! Marisa was one of the 21 donkeys rescued from Romania with help from Save the Dogs and Other Animals.

Barbara Massa, who heads the team in Italy says "He enjoys being cuddled and he normally looks for you. Every step you make, he trots around you. When you stop, he stands in front of you waiting for cuddles... a perfect way to make you lose track of time!

Elvis will have plenty of friends his own age, as Filippo was born in May who joined another little foal called Clementina.

Sadly, we have been informed by Barbara that Elvis passed away suddenly in July 2008 after breathing difficulties. Marisa is coping very well after her sad loss and members of staff are looking after her.
