During school half-term, children will be given the opportunity to join in with fun Valentine's and Springtime activities at The Donkey Sanctuary.
The special workshops, being held on:
- 14th February
- 15th February
- 18th February
- 19th February
will also give children a unique 'hands on' grooming session with the Sanctuary's donkeys.
Themed arts and crafts activities include making:
- 14th February - Valentine's cards
- 15th, 18th and 19th February - Mother's day cards
Creating miniature spring gardens and panning for spring treasures in a specially designed sandpit will be taking place in each session.
Jan Aherne who runs the Education and Activities Unit at The Donkey Sanctuary says: "Sessions are going to be really good fun and it will give the children something to take away with them at the end of the day."
No booking is required. There is a charge of £3 per child, £5 for two children and £7.50 for three children. Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Sessions are held from 11.00 am to 1.00 pm (last admission 12.30pm) and 2.00 pm to 4.00 pm (last admission 3.30 pm).
Funds raised will help The Donkey Sanctuary to continue its work around the world.
