The Sanctuary is just one mile away from the Jurassic Coast. This is England's first World Heritage Site, which stretches for 95 miles from Exmouth in East Devon to Studland Bay in Dorset.

The Donkey Sanctuary is situated near Sidmouth in the South West of England, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and is just one mile away from the Jurassic Coast.
Group visits
We welcome groups of any size and the donkeys love the added fuss and attention they receive.
Group visits are absolutely free and coach parking is available on-site.

Admission
The Sanctuary is open 365 days a year from 9.00 am to dusk with free admission.
Parking
- Please park in designated areas.
- We offer designated areas for disabled parking.
- Please do not leave dogs in hot cars (dogs are very welcome to join you on your visit).
Come and visit
At The Donkey Sanctuary, we strongly believe that supporters have the right to see how their donations are spent on caring for our large family of donkeys. Our main headquarters and intake centre at Slade House Farm is therefore open to the public.
