The Donkey Sanctuary near Sidmouth has been buzzing this past week, not only due to a busy Halloween half term, but also thanks to the excitement of an award from visitor review site TripAdvisor.

Visitors' Centre closed Monday 1st October until lunchtime
On Monday 1st of October 2012 our Visitors' Centre and gift shop will be closed until lunchtime for stocktaking, we are sorry for any inconvenience.
The rest of the Sanctuary will be open as usual.

The Sanctuary is just one mile away from the Jurassic Coast. This is England's first World Heritage Site, which stretches for 95 miles from Exmouth in East Devon to Studland Bay in Dorset.

Group visits
We welcome groups of any size and the donkeys love the added fuss and attention they receive.
Group visits are absolutely free and coach parking is available on-site.

The Sanctuary is open 365 days a year from 9.00 am to dusk with free admission.
Parking
- Please park in designated areas.
- We offer designated areas for disabled parking.
- Please do not leave dogs in hot cars (dogs are very welcome to join you on your visit).
Cyclists
- Cyclists are very welcome to secure bicycles to the fencing in the car park.
