Easter Fair At Belfast Donkey Assisted Therapy Centre

Due to severe weather, our Easter fair has been cancelled. The centre is closed and will reopen on Tuesday 2nd April 2013.

Families are invited to take part in a spectacular Easter Fair being held by The Donkey Sanctuary Donkey Assisted Therapy Centre in Belfast on Sunday 24th March at 11am to help raise much needed funds for its Assisted Therapy work.

The Donkey Sanctuary has this week issued a plea for volunteers at its Donkey Assisted Therapy (DAT) centre in Templepatrick near Belfast.

2011 saw the steepest rise in the number of donkeys needing sanctuary in the UK in our history, with nearly three times as many new arrivals than usual. A particular hotspot has been Northern Ireland, where homing and caring for abandoned donkeys has been a constant and heartrending challenge.
