Joseph is the smallest donkey in the Education and Activities group of donkeys. He came to the Sanctuary in 1989 and joined our team in 1999. Joseph used to visit residential homes, but now visits local school and is particularly good for pre-school and toddler groups, being a very small donkey.

Norman came from our Sanctuary in Ireland and joined the Education and Activities in July 2009. He likes to follow staff about and is currently in training to become a full-time member of our education team of donkeys.

Huwie is a white donkey who joined the Education and Activities in June 2009. He is currently undergoing training, but has already proved to be a very intelligent donkey, but that means he needs lots of mental stimulation to keep him out of mischief!

Dennis recently joined our Education and Activities team and is settling in very well. He's a very sociable donkey and gets on very well with all the other donkeys and children who visit.

Ned came over from Ireland with Groucho in May 2009. He is a relative youngster at 9 years old and takes his cue from his older stable mate. Ned is starting his training in July 2009. He already takes great interest in everything that is going on and closely watches the other donkeys when they are busy with visitors. His future with the team looks very bright.

Groucho is an Irish donkey who came over from the Sanctuary in Ireland in May 2009. He is 23 years old and his level temperament and ability to take everything in his stride make him a promising new addition to the Education and Activities team.

Groucho's friend is Ned, who travelled with him from Ireland and is joining him in this new career!
