We are looking to recruit an Isolation Groom to be based at our Isolation Unit at our headquarters in Sidmouth until March 2013.
Our Isolation Unit works under our veterinary department and alongside our donkey welfare teams. On arrival all donkeys spend six weeks in the Isolation Unit to begin their settling in period. Vaccinations, farriery and worming are updated before they then join the rest of the donkeys. Our ideal applicant will have experience of working with equines, hold a full driving licence and be capable of working unsupervised.
Hours of work will be based on 40 hours per week; these hours are to be worked on alternate weeks , Monday – Friday, 3.30 – 9.00pm and Saturday and Sunday 1.00 – 9.00pm. However please note that due to the care we provide, we operate a 24/7 service and some flexibility with hours will be required.
