Thought you might like to see this photo of me. Some of my donkey friends seem to have the knack of taking off their collars pretty quick and it's quite a good game leaving them around the paddocks for the grooms to go and find!

You may remember Brian from the recent story and video clip Maible gives birth. Brian was born in our Isolation Unit on 14th July and he is now starting to develop into a real little character being very independent and inquisitive.

At last it's time for me to go and get my hair cut. I booked my appointment early so that I'll look my best at the Donkey Summer Fair in a couple of weeks. Do look out for me because Colin has chosen me to be his model for the farrier display!

Imagine having something that is your lifeline for food, water, wood, travel and friendship, knowing that without that special something, your life would be beyond difficult - a life of poverty, illness, pain and suffering. Imagine your special something was taken away from you in the dead of night, and that the chances of you ever seeing it again, were next to nil.

On a beautifully hot sunny day, children from Stawley Primary School on the Somerset/Devon border came along to the Sanctuary for a day out with the donkeys. Joining them today were Shirgar, Holly, Bob Mac and Connor - four donkeys from our Education and Activities team, together with their grooms.
